1st Day, Saturday, December 23: Italy – Luxor
Departure by scheduled flight via Cairo to Luxor. Arrival in Luxor; meeting with the assistant for customs procedures and transfer on board the cruise ship. Dinner and overnight on board.
2nd Day, Sunday, December 24: Luxor – Esna – Edfu
Breakfast on board. Early morning visit to the impressive temples of Karnak and Luxor dedicated to the god Amun. Continue the visits to the Theban necropolis (Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut, the funerary temple of the famous female pharaoh) where the kings, consorts, and princes are buried, whose legendary names are associated with the dynasties of the heyday of Ancient Egypt. Visit to the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Start sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
3rd Day, Monday, December 25: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan
Breakfast on board. In the morning, visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus, one of the best-preserved in Egypt. Sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the double temple from the Ptolemaic period, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, the Crocodile god and the Falcon god. Sailing to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board. Evening party on board with the Galabya Party show.
4th Day, Tuesday, December 26: Aswan
Breakfast on board. In the morning, visit the Old and Great Dams, whose construction created the imposing Nasser artificial lake, giving new vitality to the country’s economy. Visit the picturesque Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, the goddess of love. Lunch on board, and in the afternoon, a felucca excursion, a small sailing boat that glides slowly on the tranquil waters of the Nile. Dinner and overnight on board.
5th Day, Wednesday, December 27: Aswan – Cairo
Breakfast on board. Possibility to take an optional excursion to Abu Simbel, famous for its two massive temples, among the most precious testimonies of the splendor of the Pharaonic age and universally known symbols of ancient Egypt, carved into the rock and considered the masterpiece of the great pharaoh Ramses II. Next to the main temple of the pharaoh is the “small temple,” dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Nefertari, the royal wife of Ramses II. Lunch. Transfer to the airport and departure for Cairo. Arrival and accommodation at the hotel. Dinner and overnight. 6th Day, Thursday, December 28: Cairo
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the famous Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. After lunch, continue the visit to Memphis, the capital of Ancient Egypt, and Saqqara with the magnificent stepped pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser dating back to the III dynasty. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
7th Day, Friday, December 29: Cairo
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses the richest collection of Egyptian and Greco-Roman antiquities in the world. Lunch, and in the afternoon, a visit to the Muslim part of the city: the Citadel with the Mohamed Ali alabaster mosque. A walk in the lively Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
8th Day, Saturday, December 30: Cairo – Italy
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Excursion to Coptic Cairo and lunch. Transfer to the airport in time for the return flight to Italy.
Tour hotel and cruise ship (or similar): Cruise ship: M/S Monte Carlo Nile Cruise 5* Cairo – Sonesta Hotel 5* (renovated rooms)

The price includes: international and domestic flights; all transfers with assistance in Italian; 4 nights on a 5* cruise ship with full board (excluding drinks); 3 nights in Cairo in a hotel with half board (breakfast and dinner); 3 lunches in local restaurants during visits in Cairo (drinks not included); all visits as per the program with an Italian-speaking guide.
