Start with the pearl of the Lake Garda, Sirmione, known for its thermal water and for its Fortress. Make a walking tour of old town that features artistic beauties of inestimable cultural value, panoramas of extraordinary beauty and numerous religious buildings of great historical value.
The symbol of Sirmione is the Scaligero Castle that welcomes you with its towers and its geometries of battlements and walls. When entered, you can discover the court, the walkways and the harbour where the ships found refuge. You can then go on the highest tower of the castle and enjoy the landscapes that our Benaco offers to you. You will then discover Santa Maria Maggiore Church. This XV century Church, contains beautiful frescoes and a wooden statue of the Madonna of the same period. Some free time for shopping and lunch (not included) will offer you the opportunity to taste typical foods and wines of this area, enjoying the unique panoramic view of the lake. Your guide will be at your complete disposal for suggestions of nice and traditional locations. The excursion will end with the visit to the “Grotte di Catullo”. The Grotte located inside an archaeological park, are the remains of a large Roman villa. The building built around the 1st Century A.D.  in an excellent panoramic position, at the extreme tip of Sirmione peninsula, represents the most important example of a high-class residence of the northern Italy.
